> In Topic: Peter Moore on fight against illegal file-sharers: I'm not a huge fan of trying to punish your consumer

QUOTE
Peter Moore has spoken out about the ongoing battle of the British developers against illegal file-sharers, and unfortunately for the big five, it's not in their support as well.
Speaking to Eurogamer at the Leipzig Games Convention, the British head of EA Sports said,

QUOTE
I'm not a huge fan of trying to punish your consumer... Albeit these people have clearly stolen intellectual property, I think there are better ways of resolving this within our power as developers and publishers.

He does, however, agree that there should be a crackdown against piracy, but apparently, this is not his preferred method. While he did say there are other ways of dealing with the issue, he did not give a clear counter-proposal to what Atari, Topware Interactive, Reality Pump, Techland and Codemasters are doing, suing 25,000 people across UK for illegal file-sharing.

QUOTE
[Piracy] is absolutely wrong. It is stealing. But at the same time I think there are better solutions than chasing people for money. I'm not sure what they are, other than to build game experiences that make it more difficult for there to be any value in pirating games.

And commenting on the music industry's stand on the matter (which is to also disagree and distance themselves with what the publishers and developers are doing), Moore said that it's something that the gaming biz should have learned from them: you don't win any friends by suing your customers.

But these statements, of course, are his own, and does not in any way reflect the position of the EA as a company. He says he doesn't know how EA will react to these developments, although it is without a doubt that EA does not condone piracy and that they take the issue seriously. "... People deserve to get paid for the content they create, but as far as I'm aware, we have no plans, that I know of, to partner with Atari and Codemasters and chase down consumers."

And so the chasm deepens.

Release Notes:
Here you have it, an all-in-one solution for your Pandora Needs.

This program is designed to prepare your PSP Memory Stick to be used with the Pandora Battery. Unfortunately this program can not change your Battery to Pandora, however it will copy programs to the Memory Stick in order for you to do this yourself.

This version is mainly just to fix a tiny problem with creating the config.txt file for the Time Machine IPL, and included Despertar Cementerio v7.

I really hope that you enjoy this release, as I believe this is coming close to one of the best Pandora Installers (for Windows) ever made.

WARNING: THIS PROGRAM WILL FORMAT AND INSTALL THE IPL LOADER TO THE DRIVE LETTER YOU SELECT AS YOUR PSP DRIVE, SO MAKE SURE IT IS THE CORRECT DRIVE BEFORE PROCEEDING. I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR FORMATTED USB HARD DRIVES ETC...

Requirements:
  • A PC with Windows XP / Windows Vista and .NET Framework v2.0.
  • A PSP with USB Connection and 3.xx/4.xx M33 Custom Firmware Installed.

    What it does:
  • Formats your PSP Memory Stick.
  • Installs the TimeMachine IPL to the Memory Stick.
  • Allows you to select which buttons to use to boot your PSP.
  • Copy Official Firmwares 1.50, 3.71, 3.80, 3.90, and 4.01 to your PSP.
  • Installs jas0nuk's Pandora ELF+PBP Menu to access all the programs.
  • Installs Hellcats Pandora Installer to your PSP.
  • Installs the 4.01 M33 1.50 Kernel Addon Installer to your PSP.
  • Installs Support Tools executable from either Pandora or XMB.

  • Installs the Noobz Pandora 1.50 Downgrader to your PSP.
  • Installs Despertar Cementerio v3 to your PSP.

  • Installs Despertar Cementerio v5 to your PSP.
  • Installs Despertar Cementerio v7 to your PSP.
  • Installs Time Machine v0.1 to your PSP.

How to use it:

[1] Start the Application and load in the Eboot files.
[2] Select the Programs you wish to install on your Memory Stick.
[3] Hit the "Other Options" button and select any other options you desire.
[4] Select the button configuration on how you would like your PSP to boot.
[5] Select your PSP Drive to be formatted and prepared.
[6] Press the "Start" button to start formatting and copying files to your PSP.

Changelog:
