Can you recommend some 2D scrolling shooters?

I am so frustrated with the lack of 2D scrolling shooters available for the PSP. It seems to me that this is a perfect genre for the platform, but no one is making them. Instead they turn classic shooters into strategy games, R-type. It frustrates me to no end.

Can anyone recommend any 2D scrolling shooters? They need not be PSP, though I would prefer it.

How about Megaman Maverick Hunter X, Megaman Powered Up, or the Castlevania game (can't think of its name atm)?
Megaman MHX is really good, and I've heard the others are too. :)
